Case Study, Started on April 3rd 2009- partly finished on April 17th 2009.

| I recently spoke with potential client who asked me if could help him out promoting his website.I said ok, let me have a look. He gave me 2 keywords: Destin photographers and photographers in Destin. I took few hours researching and decided that for those 2 keywords I would be able to get his website to the first page in about 3 months. I sent him detailed proposal and that was 2 days ago. Anyways I decided while I am waiting for his response I will create this page just for the sake of it because it would be just to funny if this brand new page ranked higher then his 2 years old home page.Will see.
There is a low to medium competition in that particular niche, some of the top 10 sites are the 7-10 years old web directories so it will be quite interesting to see how quickly my brand new page will take care of business. I am starting Today – Friday April the 3rd 2009, and is 9:59 PM. I will apply the usual , links from related sites , mix actually , slowly getting the word out. The search engines like new content so this being my little experiment I will be able to test my abilities in the new for me niche. To be honest I have to disclose that Destin has been my Town for about 2 years now so my Destin related sources are not that terrible bad I would say. The thing with Destin photographers is that most of their websites are made in flash and there is no content in most cases. I went trough pretty much all top 20 websites ranking for the photographers Destin or Beach wedding photographers in Destin and I must say my hopes are very high here. Of course I cant disclose my SEO methods, especially that I am counting to appear on the first page for photographers in Destin, so all my real work is not going to be seen unfortunately. Well if you still reading ,there must be something worth your while right? One thing for sure, if you found me by searching for photographers in Destin I must of have done good job then. If you are local photographer, checking out the competition I am sure you wonder what I did to rank , that high, the best thing to find out is to give me a call, no doubt in my mind that I can help you rank higher then you already are. |

| This is what happened so far since yesterday:main page askfrank.net was revisited by the boot and cached, and we are #302 for destin photographers. The goal? first page under 30 days. ☻that’s right, on May third I will sea you on the first page.I have manually added several links pointing to this subpage, some PR3 or 4 some with no PR
Two of them are already cached and showing in search results. No bad for less than 24 hours. Keep in mind that I am working on many other projects as well as on some 9 weimaraner puppies we have had since Feb 16th .. this one is a work let me tell you.. every morning poop cleanup ( we keep them in the garage over night) and feeding.. thank god I do the feeding.. Same thing in the afternoon, except I cant get away with just the feeding, I have to house the entire garage floor after my wife picks the major poo-poos off the floor ..yuck! Back to the destin photographers, I have spent about 20 minutes to write yesterday and another 35 to come up with the back links, all under 1 hour.. good enough for me. I cant promise that I will be writing everyday but check back every few days or at least once a week , there should be an update and new info about this experiment. |

| Same all same all, few more back links added the other night, and nice jump in rankings, as of today we are #138, no bad after only 2 days. Keep in mind that this ranking is for my home page, on which 2 days ago I placed link to the subpage created for this test. So the subpage is still not ranked. I would give it full week though. Here is a screenshotof today’s results.BTW, my website ranks just few spots bellow the website my client wanted me to promote. Well, today it is, soon this last statement will be just a history. Don’t forget I am aiming at first page in under 30 days. Still it is nice to know that my work paying of so far very nicely. If I was to switch my business to photography, by next month, I think I could . What else is possible? Pretty much anything in this geographical area of Destin I would imagine. | Happy Easter everyone! Couple of days ago, after almost a week google finally took a notice of this subpage and assigned initial rank to it. As of today for keyword ” Destin photographers ” we are number 216, page 22. Good start! My approach to this test as far as the promoting it is very mild, the reason is because I wanted to see which of the specific methods applied work best. So instead of bombarding it from the day 1 and most likely getting it to the first page in a week or 2, I have chosen slow tactic which enables me to take a notes and learn from it as again there is no pressure here although I did set the 30 days time frame to it. | Back so soon? well just checked the SERP’s and couldn’t wait to share.. My subpage went from page 22 to page 2 in about 72 hours. NICE! Here is the screenshotWell I am not going to be overexcited just yet, for 2 main reasons:1st – it may bounce back until it settles down, we all know that
2nd of all, it isn’t over yet, my goal is first page so there is still work to do. Anyways, overall, nice performance, will continue as planed though. Thanks for watching and I will see you in few days, I will be on the road till Wednesday, Going to Atlanta to see my son.. very happy indeed! |

| Mission accomplished!!!Today, my subpage after exactly 13 days from the day it was created, showed up on first page, position 9. screenshotActually from the day google bot visited it for the first time ever to the day of 1st page listing it was only 8 days!
I gave it 30 days but I guess I underestimated the power |

Anyway, it is great accomplishment and I salute myself. What now? Well, it is not going to be easy to hold on to the first page without the fight so my work as usual does not stop here. I will continue to provide useful information’s about beach photography and such, that way anyone who stumbles upon this page wont leave disappointed, after all is not easy to find best photographer in Destin, it takes some research, referrals and as always bit of luck. There is nothing worst than bad wedding pictures, so take your time picking the right studio.If you enjoyed reading the above, I would really appreciate your feedback.
